Frozen Crab

Here is the rule for Frozen Crab: Only freeze crab meat once. After a great catch, if you have extra meat, you'll want to save the left-overs. Fresh crab can will last 60-90 days in the freezer. If you buy frozen crab, you can’t cook it and then refreeze for later.

The best thing to do is use fresh crab meat to make your meal. Then, freeze several portions individually to thaw for another day.

Also, you can order crab via the internet. And, often the crab meat at your grocery is previously frozen. Be sure to ask before cooking with it, and re-freezing it.
